My name is Lima. I am a Switzerland-based artist working with acrylics, textured, sculptural surfaces that explore identity, belonging, and inner stillness.
Born in Kerala and raised in Switzerland, my work is shaped by the experience of growing up between cultures, often feeling both connected and displaced at the same time. This quiet duality continues to influence the way I create.
Painting became my way of returning to myself.
Through repetitive gestures, layered textures, and intuitive mark-making, I create works that are slow, tactile, and meditative. Each movement becomes a rhythm, a way to calm the mind and reconnect with the present moment.
The organic forms that emerge like petals, soft curves, and evolving structures, are not planned, but unfold naturally. They speak of growth, resilience, and the strength that exists within softness.
Working with earthy tones and textured surfaces, I create pieces that invite a sense of calm and presence. My intention is not only to create something visual, but something that can be felt, a quiet space where the viewer can pause, breathe, and reconnect.
Each work carries a quiet rhythm. An invitation to slow down and return to yourself.
